Get ready to unleash your creativity! For the first time ever, cosplay makes its debut at F2CON this year on Saturday and Sunday (Sept 6-7) only! Let’s see your incredible characters come to life. To ensure a safe and fun experience for everyone, please make sure to follow our costume guidelines below.


Costumes

To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone, please follow these guidelines for costumes and props:

Costume Guidelines:

  • Costumes should be PG-13 and may not contain excessive nudity, offensive language, or inappropriate imagery.
  • Outfits that obstruct movement or impair vision are not permitted.
  • Shoes must be worn at all times. Tall stilts, skates, bicycles, scooters (unless medically necessary) or shoes with wheels are prohibited.
  • Costumes resembling real-world law enforcement or military uniforms are not allowed. Costumes may not include the words POLICE, SWAT, FBI, DEA, CIA, or similar official agency identifiers.

Weapons and Props:

We make our attendee’s safety a priority. All props/weapons may be inspected. All props brought into the event must be in compliance with all current applicable State laws, Federal laws and statues. No exceptions.

Prohibited Items:

  • All props may be subject to inspection by event staff or security at any time
  • No functional projectiles of any kind are permitted inside the venue.
  • Firearms, projectiles, and open flames are strictly prohibited.
  • All gun-like props must have an orange safety tip.
  • The following items will not be permitted under any circumstances:
    • Airsoft guns (even if internal parts are removed)
    • Stun guns and tasers
    • Crossbows and bows (must be unstrung)
    • Functional water guns
    • BB guns, pellet guns, or any projectile-based weapon
    • Ammunition of any kind
    • Explosives, fireworks, or hazardous chemicals
    • Live steel, including but not limited to:
      • Swords, bayonets, knives, and any metallic object capable of holding an edge, regardless of sharpness.

Permitted Items:

  • Wooden, paper-mâché, and foam weapons are allowed, and may be inspected for safety.
  • Skate decks are permitted; however, tracks and wheels must be removed before entry. Any complete or partially assembled skateboards will not be allowed inside the venue area.

Safety & Misuse:

  • Any prop that is misused, thrown, swung, or used in a manner that may cause harm will result in immediate revocation of attendee privileges.
  • All props exceeding 6 feet in length and 30 pounds in weight are classified as oversized and will not be permitted.
  • Any event staff member reserves the right to deem a prop unsafe, and that prop will not be allowed into the convention.
  • Gun-like props must never be pointed at another person, including for photo opportunities.

Failure to adhere to these guidelines may result in removal from the event without refund. These policies are subject to change at any time without prior notice.
