Rules

  • All games will be played on the default settings, unless otherwise specified, below.
  • All macros available via the in-game controller configuration menu are allowed.
  • Hardware programmable input entry, rapid-fire, modifiers, macros, or other hardware assisted mechanisms are strictly forbidden.
  • Accidentally pausing the game at any time during the fight will force you to forfeit the round.
  • Any player using “Random Select” to pick their character, must “Random Select” again if they win the match, provided that there is no way to pick a certain character in the random box.
  • You must provide your own controller for games played on all systems.
  • There is a maximum of 30 seconds allowed between games in a set
  • Standard EVO controller rules apply.

  • First stage picked by striking from Neutrals, P1-P2-P2-P1 order. 
  • Following stages decided by winner banning THREE stage from all the stages listed above, then loser chooses from the remaining stages 
  • Winner of prior game must pick character first. 
  • Loser of prior game then picks character.
  • There is no Dave’s stupid rule (NO DSR). A player may pick any stage they previously won on during the set, assuming it is not banned from stage selection that phase.
  • You cannot play on a stage that is not on the available stages list.
  • Results Screen Determines Winner in the Event of Self-Destruct Move 
  • The results of Sudden Death do not count. If a game goes to Sudden Death, the winner is determined by stocks and percentage at the time the match ends. The player with the higher stock count is the winner. If both Players are tied in stocks, the player with the lower percentage is the winner. If percentage/stocks are tied, players will play a 1 stock/3 minutes playoff match. 
  • Loading Content onto Consoles Is Banned/Forbidden
  • Steve (Minecraft) is banned from use in our Super Smash Brothers tournaments.
